Harries was just a typical student in Palm Valley High School. He was just contented as a top ranking student and fine with girls. His best friend Seth wanted him to have a girl so his looks won't spoil. But then they met this strange girl making Harries so desperate to know her. What he doesn't know is that as he knows more about her, the more miserable he knows it was.

Clary Evans isn't what you would call a troubled girl. In fact, she has average grades and a clean reputation. But that's not good enough for her mother, who decides to make her leave England behind and sends her to the US to live with a family friend for a year. Apparently Clary has to work on her "inappropriate" attitude. Sure, she is sarcastic, short-tempered and irritatingly stubborn but why send her off to a foreign country because of it? What she didn't know was that she would meet the one person who somehow always managed to get on her nerves, no matter what mood she was in. What's worse than sharing a house with the person you hate? Try going to the same school as them. What Clary didn't know was that this was going to be an eventful year. [WARNING; contains swearing.]
