African poetry encompasses the wide variety of traditions arising from Africa's 55 countries and from evolving trends within different literary genres. It is a large and complex subject, partly because of Africa's original linguistic diversity but primarily because of the devastating effect of slavery and colonization, which resulted in English, Portuguese and French, as well as Creole or pidgin versions of these European languages, being spoken and written by Africans across the continent. 'Expression of Agony' is a collection of poems that tells about African culture, history, tradition and lifestyle. As Sia started to walk ,Amor held her hand and said ...''Please don't do this to me ''.Sia replied to him saying ''I have no choice but,this is fate''.As amor tries holding her hand much tightly,she starts to run.Amor kneels down sobbing. As she ran through the forest ,she saw a cave into which she ran.As she lit a torch with fear ,trembling.For every step she took she heard an echo of her footstep.Suddenly someone pulled her into darkness holding her tightly.she shouted,"I might kill you"! Then Milan chuckles saying "alright!,come on....! you have come to me running all the way through the forest leaving Amor alone,you can't be bitter with me now!".Sia gives him an expressionless stare and says,hurry up,"We need to light the lamp before it's full moon. Noticing that she switched the topic,Milan smiles and loosens his grip over her hand. As They both start walking out of the cave,the giant rock near the entrance closes due to the storm. Sia cries,''How are we supposed to go out now,we are locked here for the rest of our lives.!!''( continues crying )"I have promised Amor I would go back".With a little smile on his face Milan replied ,"Don't worry love,nature never departs you from your soulmate." They both look into each other's eyes...as it thunders..ll..
