Entry for the #writewithZo contest. It is a known fact that everyone has to die. But what happens to a human after death is a question which has no answer. Some pass through the veil to the afterlife, but there are a few unfortunate souls who are still stranded on the earth in confinement. Such a soul was Maximilian; a boy ghost who had been burnt at the stake in the Salem Witch Trials. Stuck on earth and with no other alternative to consider, all he could do was watch the living until the lights went out.

This is a story wrote for Zo contest The Last One in the Library is the story of a local ghost, who's always haunting it and is angry at writers for giving bad names and personalities for a character. It seems to be a ghost wich can get the form and feelings of the characters and so they can get avange of their writers. The library is set in a misty alleyway. Zo's prompt consists of the title (without the thing in braces), the setting: a pirate's yacht, and the character: a bumbling detective. A few twists, and have this supernatural short story that really went off the rails and actually has the potential for a longer story, should anyone be interested in reading that.
