Writingclass Stories

On my blog (www.lydiasanders.com) I have a series called "An Eclectic Writing Class" where I gather resources on productivity, writing craft, grammar, and vocabulary into monthly lessons. These monthly posts also include updates on my own writing projects and writing prompts of my own creation. Rather than including my prompt-inspired writing in my blog posts, I've opted to post it here on Wattpad. This isn't intended to be well-polished writing, and I don't want critiques or editing help for these scenes---I know they're all kinds of messed up. The parts won't necessarily follow any sort of story structure or make sense. Aside from typing up what I've written and fixing a few spelling and punctuation errors, this is unedited. There are even [placeholder words] and {notes to myself} within the text which I'll need to change later if I end up actually using this writing for anything. Most of the prompts are phrases intended to be somehow included in the scene. Beginning sentence, ending sentence, worked into the middle somehow--it doesn't matter. These phrases can be found in the part titles. You're welcome to take the prompts and use them to spark your own work. I would love to see what you come up with. I recommend setting a timer for 20-25 minutes and writing whatever pops into your head. If you need to tweak something in the phrase to make it work for your story, like changing a pronoun or swapping an animal out for a different one, go for it. There are no rules here. Just write. This is a guide book in which I will collect every advice that could help my fellow writers in their quest to become better writers, not just to be good Wattpad Writers. ❤️❤️❤️

This is the submitted second assignment with the prompt "Personal Memories". Refusing to use anything actually personal, I created a story set around a reluctant girl in a therapy session, struggling to share her past. Enjoy!

Hallo! So I'm in a creative writing class this year so I thought why the frick not upload them here xD All parts will have the prompt in bold at the very top, some will involve me as a character and some will involve fictional characters(such as Katsuki Bakugou, Harry Potter, etc.)

This book is a collection of all the short stories I wrote in English, the first ones are from my class 'Writing Skills' in university, hence the name. I am not an experienced writer when it comes to English, but I'm happy to learn and share what I've written so far. These are literally just essays I've written for school that I want to share because they're research papers on classic novels and plays.

My final assignment was based on the prompt "A Stranger Comes To Town" and revolved around a boy who is moving to a new town and reacquainting himself with his estranged brother. Enjoy!

A collections of short stories, poems, journals and letters written for my Writing 12 course. All pieces are mine, and were written in response to given prompts and assignments. I also wanna give a shout out to @astoundedstars for making me cover, which is so cute.

A collection of my works from my Creative Writing class, and other stories/poems I've written while in school. Note that these are mostly short stories, and most are not happy endings. I took the class my senior year in the first semester, and we got stuck in Halloween mode. Even during Christmas season. Also, these have all been posted from my phone, so I have no idea what they'll look like on a laptop, as I currently don't own one. I apologize for any grammar or spelling errors. Please feel free to correct me and give me feedback on my writing, but please be kind. I love hearing how I can improve, but of it's rude, it doesn't help me. In addition to feedback, if (for whatever reason) you feel the need/urge to repost this anywhere else, please ask me first! We can discuss it in depth then. I worked hard on these, and would like to know where these are going and why. Thank you! One more thing! I'm not entirely sure what could be considered triggering to readers, so I will post a content warning at the beginning of each chapter, telling what can be found in the story that I feel people may be triggered or upset by. Let me know if something needs or does not need a warning, and I will be happy to fix it!

Writing class gave me motivation to do something for once and here are my stories/sentences from there or anywhere. I'll try to do a poem or two.. maybe several more (Cover pic taken by me on a plane)

Tara is about to finish college and head to Mexico with her boyfriend. But he's been acting like a jerk, and she feels guilty about their relationship due to her strong Christian faith. Everything feels complicated and pointless all at the same time. Then a family tragedy unfolds. Should she go to Mexico or stay put?

This was the first assignment for my writing class that I have recently decided to share. The task was to write something with the prompt "Revisiting Familiar Things" so I used a cathedral from my hometown as inspiration, adding a little adventure and mystery. This one is more descriptive than my usual work because I was nervous and everyone seemed to like that sort of thing. Enjoy!
