There is a particular kind of loneliness that no one talks about.
It is not the loneliness of an empty room.
It is the loneliness of standing in the middle of a crowded fair, lights flashing, laughter echoing - and still feeling invisible.
That was me.
I had always been alone in a world full of people. Until I met them.
They taught me what happiness felt like. What longing felt like. What desire tasted like.
And then they ruined me.
Now, as I sit in a room filled with wedding silks and gold jewelry, waiting to be married to one of them, I still don't know whether I should regret everything... or be grateful for it.
