The story opens with Jimmy as a boy when his Father walks out and he is suddenly thrown into unknown territory as the main player and role model in his family. This forces him into early adulthood but he rises to the challenge. He finds it hard to recover from the loss of his grandfather to whom he was close an also his mother. War brings about experiences, some which come back to haunt him over the years and others he wishes to forget.

Fictional WW11 story. Read if you want, it's not anything special, but I did try with this one.

This is based on the true story of a young Greek nursing student, Elena Avgoulas, who makes a daring escape from her occupied Greek island of Chios and travels to Palestine where she enrols in the British army as a nurse. She is posted to a Base Hospital in Alexandria, Egypt where she tends the wounded from the war that is being fought in the North African desert and experiences the life of cosmopolitan Cairo as the Axis armies advance to the very gates of the city. She meets and falls in love with a young Scottish Army officer who is serving with the Long Range Desert Group. As the course of the war changes in favour of the Allies, the two lovers are separated; he is posted to Britain to serve with the Special Operations Executive and she, newly promoted, serves in the invasion of Sicily with a Casualty Clearing Station. Her nursing takes her through Italy and across the Rhine into Germany. As the war ends, out of touch with her earlier life, she seems destined for a comfortable future in England as the wife of a surgeon but the sudden death of her mother draws her back to Greece as the Civil War begins and suddenly the unravelled threads of her past are brought together.

Ricky Forrest, a fourteen year old American boy pretended to be eighteen so he could go fight the Nazis after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. Ricky and a couple of his friends went and signed up for the Marines together. After his PC boat crashes and everybody but Ricky dies, he asks if he could move to the front lines along with the army. Since he was a survivor, the president approved him. He is in the middle of world war two, and he plans on ending it.

I and Kacchan have been best friends since age 5, and strange things suddenly happen and go downhill...I don't know what to do and I think Kacchan makes things worse..... (I guess I'll have to change the place where this takes place to Germany cause, first of all, I'm too lazy to keep it at japan bc I'd have to add extra stuff that may not relate to WW11.)
