Well, what if on Kion's journey, he find his long lost older brother, Kopa. They, had formed a Pride together, Kion being the King, as his brother had dated Vitani, who became like an older sister, to the young golden lion, her brother, Kovu, becoming a royal guard to him, also becoming like a brother to him, as well. What if, years later, Kion, his brother, and Pride, have no choice but to return to the Pridelands.
