After his plane goes down in the Pacific during the final years of the Second World War, a Mexican pilot-Cuauhtémoc Castillo-washes ashore on an island. He survives not by chance, but by the decision of Tlalli, a woman whose people were carried across oceans centuries earlier.
As Cuauhtémoc recovers in a cave at the island's edge, he is forced to confront the living consequences of the past, standing as a representative of the world that displaced Tlalli's ancestors. Within that uneasy proximity, a quiet attraction takes shape-one burdened by colonial inheritance, complicity, and resistance.
