They cloaked her from the world and told everyone 10 year old Astrid was dead. Skip a couple years Astrid Gilbert was completely unaware of the going ons in Mystic Falls, she knew that Bonnie was a witch *though she was a type b witch and Astrid is a type a* but doesn't tell her that she's a witch too. So when Klaus Mikealson comes into her life, and no one was willing to tell her what was going on, she fell deeply for him thinking he was normal. which was what she wanted, how will she feel when she finds out?
