In a modern-day Ketterdam, Kaz Brekker is just trying to get along with his 'perfect, loving family' (They aren't.) This is a retelling of the musical Next to Normal with our favorite Crows- and a big brother- along for the ride! I have of course changed some things from the musical to fit in more with the characters of the Crows, but the basic plot will be the same! No need to know the show either, it's a full story in and of itself!

Essentially just the combined plot of the Six of Crows books (By Leigh Bardugo) and the plot of the Shadow and Bone show on Netflix, except for the fact that Kaz is actually Ravkan and a Grisha because he's an over achiever. (DISCLAIMER! I DO NOT OWN THE CHARACTERS LISTED IN DESCRIPTION OR THE BOOK SERIES/TELEVISION SHOW. THIS IS FANFICTION.)(And I don't really post regular updates)

She wears a good wool coat, holds her chin up high, but at the end of the night, she begs for pennies just like the rest of them. In a city like this, she is uncanny. Starkly different from the grimy Barrel-rats that have control down here. And in Ketterdam, it's no good sticking out from the crowd. Unusual attracts the worst attention possible. Everyone around here wants something that's one of a kind, and Kaz Brekker's always looking to make a new investment.

Damian Doe loves his job. Despite only being twelve, he's spent nearly three years as Kaz Brekker's second in command, weaseling his way up the food chain. He might not remember where he came from, which is why the others have taken to calling him a 'doe', but it's really no big deal! Kaz, however, is ambitious as ever. If he wants to run Ketterdam, he'll need more allies. As two crows become three, and then four, and so on... Damian is starting to realize there might be more to life than just being a Dreg.

A girl with nothing except for her passion to perform is roped into the mess that is Kaz Brekker's plan to kidnap the Sun Summoner.

What if Kaz was an Inferni that burned the Reaper's Barge? What if Nina was a normal Ravkan girl with new secrets to hide? What if Matthias discovered he had the powers of the very people his country hated? Etovost is "thatness", a Grisha theory term that defines qualities that make a thing unique, unlike any other thing in the universe. It is what sets Grisha apart from Otkazat'sya, those blessed with power and those not. This story is the "thatness" to Six of Crows' "thisness", where like calls to slightly altered like. Etovost is a Grishaverse/Six-of-Crows-specific AU in which every Grisha is now Otkazat'sya, and every Otkazat'sya becomes Grisha. It is unlike any other thing in the canon Grishaverse. Much will be changed. But there will still be mourners, and there will still be funerals. Kaz, Inej, Nina, Matthias, Jesper, and Wylan all are students at the renowned and prestigious Night Raven College. The freshmen, Inej and Wylan, are both excited and nervous to be sorted into their dorms and discover life in NRC. The sophomores, Kaz and Jesper, are glad to be back at school and continue their efforts to excel at being mages. The third years, Nina and Matthias, are glad to be back in the same building, albeit in different dorms. All of their plans for the school year get a little derailed when house wardens start to have strange emotional breakdowns, and now they must help their house wardens and dorms amidst the chaos.

Yoongi had the dreams of money and power. Mayhem never had an end and so did Yoongi's determination. More money, more mayhem, he never thought about another dream. But none of them can hold Namjoon. Ketterdam fed his needs but Namjoon wanted to be happy. He wanted Yoongi but he couldn't heal him. Yoongi had to heal himself. Yoongi had to fix himself. Slowly, Namjoon's patience was running low.

When Jesper and Wylan are running from the Dime Lions, they have nowhere else to hide but a tiny supplies closet in the wall. When Kaz Brekker's sister visits him at the Crow club, all hell breaks loose. Why is she acting so suspicious? I do not own any of the characters except for Ayra. She doesn't exist.

Nina wakes in the middle of the night after a nightmare, and she and Inej end up sitting in the kitchen listening to Jesper and Wylan argue the logistics of baking cookies at 2 am. - all characters/ canon plot events belong to leigh bardugo, who, as you might have guessed, i am not.
