Welcome to the rewriting of my book, Just Keep Galloping! I thought I would keep the old one up while I rewrite it! A woman who goes through one thing alone and keeps going, is strong. One woman who doesn't let people help her, you can guess she gets into trouble and goes through situations that make you wonder if she is sane. Sure, she's independent, stubborn, she doesn't want to depend on anyone. It's unheard of back in the late 1876 for a woman to be on her own and independent. With seizures, Ms. Callie Carrisso has a hard time dealing with them happening during both during the day and night. One thing her late husband absolutely despised. Despised more then her just being herself. She wasn't aloud to do anything she loved. All she was aloud to do was be seen, not heard. When he had died, she found freedom. She wasn't going to let any man hold her down again. The quiet town of Moran, Wyoming was never one to have any excitement. People went on with their lives, day by day. Happy with how their lives were. Not a lot of violence. Drifter's coming to find work from the farms and ranches during the summer. Everyone knew not to mess with Callie Carrisso. Just let her do what she wanted and everything went a lot smoother. But, when one man who drifted into the small town decided to try to help the young woman, everyone held their breath. Waiting for Callie to show him why no one messed with her. He got the surprise of his life.

This was a challenge issued by @maripaz_villar , a comic artist who's work I've enjoyed and admired for quite some time. The challenge was to take this drawing and write this girl a back story. Naturally I jumped at the chance. I have named her Katrina and dropped her and her in my homeland, Goshen County, Wyoming. According to 'Wind Pudding and Rabbit Tracks', a history of Goshen County, the 1915 census reported 26 American American males and 22 African American females residing in Goshen County. I felt the need to honor them in historical fiction. I bent the rules of #WriteMyStory and opted to write an epic instead.
