It has been 300 years since the Grandfather, the mysterious god-like entity who founded Dremarian civilization, simply vanished off the face of the globe and his stead was taken by another. Since the appointment of the new leader, or High Essent, the continent has seen unprecedented achievement and advancements. Towers now reach high into the heavens and the need for horses and wyverns in transportation, for most, has become a distant memory. However, not all is well in such paradise. The past 3 years have now brought grim tidings in the form of political division. Dasnaery, one of the seven provinces of Dremariand, is now at odds with the chief kingdom, Maginatus, due to disagreements in the rule of law. As a result of this turmoil, a new and very powerful threat has emerged that may endanger all of Dremariand.

Cinnamon is a normal prairie drake, a scout of the Darkmoon Pack. When she is promoted to a delta, she is honoured and astonished, fully ready to do everything she can for her pack. But new missions put her in other packs territories, where she realizes the severity of the phrases "bone pack" and "blood pack". She is convinced that there is more that her pack could do to save the sad, suffering drakes, but her matriarch won't listen to her. Through a series of events she ends up banished, forced to become an outsider, and soon she ends up caught under the claws of the worst matriarch of all...

The realm of Asleandra has been marred by numerous events of destruction and turmoil, and the consequences of what is known to most as "The Wyvern wars", left an especially harsh mark on the Kingdom of Reigngord; now years after his father had perished due to internal wounds he suffered while fighting the war, King Alexander Elrod is faced with a difficult choice, his succession. While Alexander has five children who would all be suitable candidates, he's indecisive and can't make a decision, hence he sends them out on a quest; the first of his five children to bring him the head of a Wyvern they've slain, will be his heir. But his youngest daughter, Edith Elrod, has no interest in the throne whatsoever, instead she seeks to truly find out if Wyverns exist in Asleandra, or if her father is simply delusional, and to her shock and surprise, after much research, she finds one; but in the face of what seemed like death, Edith was calm, and rather than hate, she forged a strong bond with the creature, vowing to protect it and the rest of its kind. But surely this would be no easy task, for in the land of Reigngord, there are many, including her own siblings, who would instead see Wyverns completely wiped from the continent.
