You're a young adult living with your parents in the countryside working and trying to save up to move out. You're also an eccentric and hobbyist who likes to collect nicknacks and trinkets alike, often travelling with your parents to car boot sales, charity shops, and antique shops to add to your collections. One day your parents take you to a car boot sale and you find a woman selling clown themed memorabilia, in particular an antique Jack in the box that particularly caught your attention. Also, the story does feature an oc as the female lead, but if you'd prefer to read it as an xreader, go for it. I just have multiple stories planned in the same universe, so doing them all as xreaders would be way too confusing.
