Although they didn't attend any classes with each other, or even knew the other had existed in the first place, everyone in the entire school was convinced that Venti and Xiao were friends. Venti didn't want to leave his fake boyfriend, he wanted to tell him how much he loved him but he couldn't, he was sorry for all the pain he caused him and every terrible bit he added into his pile of suffering, he wished none of this would've happened, he wanted to live a happy life with his so called 'lover', he never wanted to do anything that could cause him such pain and suffering, he was told to, made to hurt him, he never wanted to, but needed to do it or the love of his life will die in front of his own eyes, he would have to witness his beloved dying in front of him if he didn't do so, he loved him deeply, but now Venti loving him again will never happen. Xiao dying will never happen again. Nor will he come back from the grave. He never wanted to hurt him, he never wanted to leave him, but the cemetery gates were soon to 𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞. No one, would want to see their lover, even fake lovers, die like Xiao did. Venti still loved Xiao till this very day, he could not let him go, Venti needs to let Xiao go, both of them will never be able to tell eachother their love, Venti can't show him anymore 'love' and Xiao will never come back again, Xiao leaving him behind is not true, for he is always in the wind beside Venti. It's good that Xiao will never die again. It's bad that Venti can't let him go, couldn't tell him his real feelings and show his love one more time to Xiao.

Xiao has strange feelings every time he thinks about Barbatos. When Zhongli tells him what it could be, and even that Barbatos feels the same way- Impossible! He needs proof. Zhongli tells him a story of a time Barbatos was pining after him, but when Xiao goes to check the facts, he not only finds it true, but also finds something else waiting for him.

decided to make a wholesome xiaoven fic bc im dying from the angst in every other xiaoven fic,, i mean,, wholesome for now at least that might change at some point- oops,,? shjsk yeah anyhow imma just go cry for a bit brb

Whilst tears started to brim from the corners of his own eyes, he tries to mutter one last mournful goodbye to the one who had made his heart pound every moment he was alive. " my dearest warrior, Alatus.. May our love continue on in our next life.. This is what I've gotten so far of the story

-COVER HAS BEEN CHANGED TO MATCH GUIZHONG'S OFFICIAL DESIGN- Zhongli finds that he has a hard time letting Venti be with Xiao when he both doesn't fully trust him, and is reminded way too much of his lost love, Guizhong. Or a 5+1 fanfic, 5 times where Zhongli despises Venti for loving Xiao, and one where he forgives him and lets him love.
