This is just a few small stories on the death deities from the joyous movie of Book of Life known as La Muerte and Xibalba! Ever since I watched that movie I'd thought to myself, hey, what goes on in their heads? Since the movie's main view wasn't on them I decided to answer that question myself, from buttons to bulls, crowns to tangos, I really hope you'll in enjoy these stories, more on the way, this couple is really one of my faves!

La Muerte is the beloved goddess of death and queen of the land of the remembered. Her husband Xibalba is also the god of death and king of the land of the forgotten. When Xibalba offers a wager on a certain day of the dead, La Muerte cant resist and says yes. Will she win or will she end up giving everything she has to her estranged husband?

To save her father and kingdom from paying the ultimate price for a wager, La Muerte agreed to marry Lord Xibalba, the Last of the Ancient Gods of the Underworld, famous for his cruelty and stone cold heart. Now a prisoner in her own golden cage, she soon realizes Xibalba isn't such a bad person, while Xibalba finds his cold heart melting away with the comfort of his new wife.

Jimmy and Hannah's 'Aunt' Maria comes to town after being years 'abroad'. She hasn't been to the small town the two lived in for over 3 years, what happens when she tells the children she is looking for a place to live for awhile? What if she goes with Hannah, Jimmy and his friends out to go trick-or-treating? What about if she leaves the children for a few minutes and comes to find Hannah gone after entering a 'haunted' house? What if the children learn a very deep secret of their Aunt Maria?

This is mostly going to be a La Muerte and Xibalba story, but we'll see where it goes. (Please be patient with me. This movie inspired me and I'm just testing the waters to see how I will write something like it.) Enjoy.

Set around the time when Xibalba and La Muerte set the wager. Catalina Mondragon was never like Joaquin. He managed to avoid death on a daily basis, and she can barely defend herself. But, what happens when a certain death god takes advantage of this and trains her? More importantly, why is she happy when he's around? A Xibalba x OC story. Includes songs. Catalina Posada is Maria Posada's twin sister and she is almost personally different: She has black hair, her eyes are blue along with her makeup, the colors she wore as her dress is blue/light blue, and her personality is alike Maria's, but with a bit of mischievousness time to time. Once the twins returned to San Angel after their 10 years of studying, they met the two prince charmings, Manolo Sanchez and Joaquin Mondragon. When Catalina started to see visions involving the threat of her sister, it resulted in her sacrifice and left this world with pain and sadness. When she woke up into the other world, Catalina herself becomes a GODDESS! Will she come back? Will Catalina return to the Land of the Living?
