2017: During present day, two siblings, Hyun and Hani find a set of home movies from nearly twenty years before. While practically home alone that day, they decide to play the tapes and end up following along the adventures of a friend group in the summer of 99'. 1999: It's the summer before the turn of the century. Seventeen year old Ham Jiwon and her younger brother Jinsik are forced to stay with their aunt and cousin Junmin for the summer out of town. The siblings had been through a lot back home so they see this as an opportunity to get away for a while, to go back to a place they hadn't been to since they were kids. While there that summer Jiwon encounters her cousin's best friend, the neighbor boy who lives with his grandmother, a boy named Minjae. Over those few months they grow close along with a new group of friends. The bad thing about it all is that..summer only lasts so long. lee yechan and jung yujun weren't that close even if they shared the same friend group, they will chat with each other occasionally but never had they ever hung out alone, just the two of them, so of course it came as a surprise to yujun when yechan asked if they could meet up because he had something important to tell him.
