The damage has been done. As the child grows, she begins to develop spiritual abilities, and one All Hallow's Eve, she slips back through the veil. But this time, it isn't the Guardian who catches her, it's an ill-tempered wolf spirit desperate to get the Guardian's Apprentice, a timid spirit boy, removed from that office.
