Why is it so much easier to burn than it is to heal? Laura had claws, but being normal was all she had craved since the day she was born. She never asked for this life. She thought that being a mutant was the worst curse that could possibly befall a person. To make matters worse, Laura became an unfortunate victim of William Stryker's twisted experiments on mutants. She was then known as X-23. Being cut open and tortured had torn down whatever traces of faith and hope she had left. After a whole year, Laura finally grabbed onto an opportunity to escape the hell she was sentenced to. However, they've done so much damage to her brain, that all she could remember was the pain of the experiment. She did not know who she was, who her family was, or even her last name. Her soul was broken. She was sure that she would never find herself again until she met Logan, someone who truly understood her pain, her experiences, her despair.
