Hello! In honor of Underverse 0.8 part 1 coming out and Jakei's year and a half hiatus, I am going to (try to) do this thing I will be calling "Weekly Underverse" where I update weekly with some sort of Underverse related content. It's not going to be anything big. Some weeks it will be a 3,000 word Cross fic, maybe a digital drawing I worked on for 5 hours. Other weeks might be as small as a snippet of a poem that was inspired by an Underverse thing, or a little doodle I did in my notes packet. It may even be recycled content I have posted outside of this project. But whatever it is, I will try to update it weekly until the hiatus is over. Weekly Underverse starts today, November 20, 2024. Updates will (try to) be every Wednesday. Underverse belongs to: Jael Peñaloza Little note: I am nowhere near an Underverse expert, so most things might be fanon, most things might be Cross focused, but maybe I'll do some learning and write with the other characters. Maybe I'll give fun facts one week. We've got about 78 chances so... we'll see where this goes!

Dream, Guardian of Positivity, died 13 years ago at the hands of his own twin brother, Nightmare, the King of Negativity, signaling the end of an era in the Multiverse. Managing to secure Dream's former soul - the last golden apple and the single source of all positivity - Ink, Protector of Alternate Universes and God of Creation, inherits the duty of spreading hope and peace in his stead. It is a taxing job, one that he could not fully succeed in on his own, and slowly but surely, the Multiverse spirals into chaos. However, after over a decade of Ink juggling responsibilities, Dream seemingly comes back to life. To the common eye, it seems as though Ink was able to revive the fallen guardian, and that nothing is amiss. But to those who knew him, it was easy to tell that while this skeleton looked like Dream, sounded like him, and even held the same powers as him, there was something about his actions, and his soul, that just seemed... hollow. Nevertheless, Dream's abrupt reappearance quickly sets the Multiverse back on track to its proper balance. While Ink and Dream plot with their allies on how to take down Nightmare's Empire, Cross - one of Nightmare's most trusted henchmen - revisits the site of Dream's past demise. In trying to evade his rocky past with the Guardian, Cross is reminded of how, even though for a short while, he and Dream had been friends. Reminiscing of times long gone, the last thing he expects is to be pounced on by a cat perched above him in a tree. And he certainly wasn't planning on returning to Nightmare's castle with a new companion in tow. But as the saying goes: misery enjoys company.

Cross is lonely and just wishes to be loved.. He lives with nightmare and then realized a horrible secrets He runs off to dream, looking for a friend Will he find love With the God of negativity or of positivity?

Dream and Nightmare can get along... kind of. It takes work for them to do so but there is always one thing that they fight over: Cross. On one hand, Cross and Dream have fallen in love. The only thing stopping them from being together is Nightmare, who finds Cross to be a very important part of the Bad Sanses. Dream and Nightmare fight over whether or not Cross will stay in Nightmare's team or if he will go and live happily with Dream. They don't realize that Cross should also have a say in the matter. While Cross watches the siblings fight over him, he starts to question why they really want him with them. Perhaps Dream truly does love him and Nightmare wants him with the Bad Sanses. Or, perhaps it is vice versa: Nightmare could be madly in love with Cross while Dream wants one less in the Bad Sanses team in order to defeat them easier. Though he has fallen for Dream, his soul tends to turn on him. It's up to him to make a choice of who he stands next to... if he's even allowed to. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is a sequel of Helping a Missing Soul. If you haven't read that, you don't nessessarily have to, but it may help.

I've gotten permission from @Nuttercream to rewrite their story for them. I'll update as much as I can. I'll admit I am only a high school student and it's hard to rewrite everything in my own words, but I will do my best to write differently while keeping the same basic storyline. I might change the storyline if something doesn't make sense to me or I want to spice it up a bit, but other than that, let's get into the story!

Cross had been hated his whole life, just because he was a neko. I till he met Nightmare, who was very sweet and kind. However it all changed when Nightmare bit the apple. *inspired by my follwers and those who have also wrote neko cross sans books!*

yea. like thirty minutes after I said I would make it, I made it. anyway, I feel like charcoal (haha funny burnout/probably sick joke) so I don't think I'll actually write drabbles and stuff in this until I get more comfortable or something. It's been a while since I've actually wrote something, too, so sorry if things are worded weirdly.
