Chapter Two

If you find certain aspects of history interesting, besides just endless wars and conflicts, you may find the same joy in the recreation of 18th century life, in France specifically. This is a (fictional) journal records of an 18th century officer, or gendarmery, pursuing the case of the mysterious death of a middle class woman. Besides the eventual unveiling of the mystery, there includes several element of early modern life that worth enjoying.

A short oneshot where Noctis knows about his fate earlier than intended.

Prompto has been captured by Ardyn. The boys are trying to find their friend, before the worst happens to the blonde or Lucis itself. To stay alive and survive the mental and physical torture Ardyn is putting him through, Prompto must delve into his memories and figure out a way to live while his friends searched for him. Noctis is filled with guilt and self hate, knowing it was his fault that Prompto was captured. The prince looks inside his own memories, trying to find a way to cope with the pain and anger he felt towards himself. Ignis wanted the fun loving blonde of their group back. The car too quiet, with no snap of the camera, and no jokes being told. The adviser would often start going into his memories to find his sense of peace. Gladiolus wouldn't admit it aloud, but he did miss the blonde's whining. Prompto even though annoying at times, did lighten the mood when needed. Though when the whining and small comments were stolen from the group, the shield became more and more closed off, going into his own memories, like the rest of the group. To find a reason to be feeling such sadness and anger for when the blonde was taken from the group.

Throughout Noctis' journey of discovering kingship, him along with his teammates face powerful opponents who threaten their lives every chance they get. In this quest for Eos, a new player is introduced. She is relentless, clever and out for blood. During this game of predator and prey, will she play her cards right and achieve her objective?

It started out as a rescue, then it turned into an unbreakable friendship. But then a spark appears to light in between them... Ignis saves Noctis from a bully back in elementary school and they become close friends not long afterwards. After Ignis loses his dad, King Regis takes him into the royal Crownsguard also getting him his own apartment. On one condition. Noctis is his responsibility from now on. He isn't too thrilled about this at first, but obeys anyway. But as time goes on...there is a slight feeling in both Ignis' and Noctis' guts whenever they come around each other.

Loqi didn't quite remember how he got in this situation, but he found himself stuck working for the Empire, while also feeding information to Cor for Lucis. At first, he wasn't aware of the dangers, but he soon finds out that this wasn't as easy as he thought it would be.
