Living in a frozen world full of vampires is tough. Actually knowing that your living in a frozen world full of vampires is tougher. Kody Wind knows what she shouldn't. Everyone else thinks they're not allowed to go outside at night because of wolves and other wild animals, but Kody knows about the vampires. But when a field trip outside the safe walls of the citadel goes horribly wrong, Kody and a few others strive to survive the night, let alone the two hundred and forty mile trip back home. She and a small group of students have to fight off the vampires that aren't supposed to exist, if they want to survive.
