In the YA fiction story I wrote, a boy who has been genetically altered to be able to pilot a special Mech permanently. The story connects to the essential question of: "How do human beings draw upon their experiences to make a difference in the world and to make themselves better people?" because, in the story, Saki makes the decision to save Sakurako from dying in the battle even though he was the one who almost killed her. In society today, there are many deaths caused by murders and homicides. We as humans can draw upon our experiences to decide what is the right choice of either killing or not killing someone. When taking a scene from my story, Saki's intentions was to kill Sakurako because that was his sole purpose of life. But, he quickly realizes his mistake and chooses to save her because of the experience of almost killing someone. So in ending, by drawing upon experiences, people can make the public and society better.
