Zeren finds a user's playlist on NetEase and instantly falls in love. He's made it his obligation to play the songs over the speakers in the coffee shop he works at. Yanchen hates coffee, but finds himself at his university's cafe one day out of desperation. He then continues to come for the music, discovering that all the songs that play are ones that he knows, and stays for the cute barista.

yanchen's head suddenly lolled back to look at the sky. "doesn't the big dipper kind of look like a question mark to you?" zeren choked on his drink in sudden laughter, looking over in surprise. zhou yanchen was quite the enigma. when he'd first met him, he was all apprehensive friendliness and serious work ethic, oversized t-shirt and black sweatpants that were too large for his frame. "really?" he laughed, too amused for his own good. "and, tell me, what do you think the universe is asking?" yanchen blinked slowly, tapping an inquisitive finger on his chin. now, he was loose laughter and crooked smiles (with teeth still unbelievably white), leather jacket and skinny jeans, a solo cup for accessory. yanchen hummed after a minute. he was laughing and yet serious as he answered, "i don't know. maybe, like us, the universe is wondering how large it is."
