He, in turn, found her antics more entertaining than infuriating, curious to see how far she'd push before realizing she wasn't much of a threat. So, in true pirate fashion, he gave her a strange sort of freedom, letting her roam the ship, knowing full well the real fun was watching her struggle against the cage of her own choices.
