On top of that, she is desperately denying the fact that her parents are fighting a lot more than usual, trying to keep the somewhat existent peace that remains in her life. When she has the opportunity to go on holidays to Byron Bay as she does every year, she takes the opportunity to kick back and relax a bit before she must face the HSC and all her assignments and school again. Enter Josh Stevenson, rude, intolerable, devastatingly handsome yet weirdly intellectual, evident from the Shakespeare he seems to quote. Ever since he hit her in her back with a soccer ball and called her the 'dipshit' Lily finds herself loathing him for more than one reason. Upon her return to school, she has finalised plans. Finally to get out of her over-achieving brother's shadow and get a kick-ass ATAR score.
