A nerd's life told in a journal

Every day of the year, I'll be writing a short story, a poem, or even a reflection over my own life. It's a wild and crazy journey. I like to experiment with different styles and different ideas. Ever since starting to do this at the first of the year, I can truly say I have grown as a writer! I hope you peek inside and decide to read along! This is the second part of the challenge, Days 201-365, since Wattpad only allows a maximum of 200 parts per story.

Set in the late 80s, 15 year Laura Burn lives in coastal town Carnin full with abandoned parking lots and places to vibe with her 3 friend, Jackie, Will and Dusty. She thought she had everything planned out, but with everything, plans can change, right?

A year long love story told with eight beautiful poems. Every time a poem was written as a memory was being remembered. At the end, that's all that was left: Memories! Passionate, yet painful memories...

I decided to start a reading log for 2024 just to see how much I read. It'll also make it easier for me to keep track of what books I've read and a quick little summary in case someone might want to read one of the books there. I'll try to keep it as spoiler free as I can, but be warned because I'll probably accidentally let important plot points out that you aren't supposed to know.

It has been a rough year for the main character. He struggles to escape the loneliness that has taken hold of his life and to find a way to be happy again.
