The Baudelaire's story is only beginning! After Olaf's play/marriage has gone wrong. He vows revenge and escapes. Five days later, the Baudelaires meet their new and second guardian, Monty! However, the Baudelaire's aren't the only ones moving in with him.

When Katie dropped her pencil on the first day of freshman year, and it landed at Gavin's feet, she knew that it couldn't be just a coincidence. And just like that, Gavin started attending Katie's debate club meets, and Katie was always cheering at Gavin's tennis matches. Late night texts turned into late night kisses, and timid conversations turned into confessions of love. It became hopelessly cliché. Suddenly, Katie and Gavin were the "it couple," and everyone knew not to even think about keeping them apart. And everything was fine... until it wasn't. Senior year was going great, until Katie noticed Gavin begin to seem different. And when Katie found Gavin kissing the captain of the girl's gymnastics team, everything took a turn for the worse. Katie began losing herself, or at least who she thought she was, but her best friends, Yessica and Lauren had a plan. They only had so much time to get revenge, which is oh so sweet. At first the pranks were innocent and funny, but after the mother of all pranks, nothing is the same. Will fighting fire with fire make things ok, or will Katie only get burned?
