I ship OtaYuri both romantically and platonically, and I don't really have a preference, but seeing as very few fanfics give importance to platonic love, I thought that I would write one that did. If there's one take away from Yuri on Ice, it's that love is a valuable and precious thing that takes place in many forms. This story is off of one of my headcanons that Yuri and Otabek are both asexual and aromantic, and their friendship goes from being very small to being a qpr (a queer/quasi platonic relationship, which is like dating, except without any romantic aspects, and in this case, without sexual aspects as well). Once someone turns 16 for one week every month since their birthday, their ring would change to match their soul mates and visa versa, every month a new clue would appear on the inside of the ring, helping them to find their other half. When and if they do manage to find them the 'silver string' turns gold, making a thin line of gold appear on their ring and the two will both bare the same marks. Will yuuri be able to find Victor?

What if the reason Yuri Plisetsky lives with his grandfather is because Yuri was taken from his abusive mother at a young age, but not before he built up mental walls to keep from being hurt again. And his grandfather enrolled him in Figure Skating because he thought socializing would help. Or just an idea my friends and I were musing about.
