The relationship between John Lennon and his songwriting partner, Paul McCartney had been kept under tight wraps for years. After struggling to come to terms with the breakup of The Beatles, he starts to lash out and struggle with day-to-day tasks. His only comfort can be found in his beloved dog, Martha. Linda battles against her hurt as Paul begins to push her aside, attempting to keep her family together she fights against all odds to protect what she holds dear. Everything seems to be falling apart until one person walks back into Paul's life just at the right time. A few gunshots and everything Linda holds dear is gone, leaving Paul to pick up the pieces and correct the wrongs of his life. He gets one last shot at happiness and he wasn't going to blow it. He wasn't going to let Yoko Ono stand in his way. One day changes everything for him; December 8th 1980.

John and Paul start a relationship, and things quickly become a lot more complicated in their lives. Feelings are realized. Moments are had. Bridges are burned. Nothing will be the same again. Will love between two men prevail during the sixties, a time where being homosexual is taboo, and even onwards? McLennon and Starrison.

I will attempt to raise questions on how the activities of music and musical influence can be understood as a form of non-violent political participation. I will firstly introduce the basis of political dissent in the first part of the essay. The theory behind this is based on the writings of Robert Martin (2014) is to give a broader understanding of what political opposition is through nonviolent means. I will also use the readings by Étienne de La Boetié for a clearer understanding of the ideology behind nonviolent practices. I will further develop my argument to the question of how music is used as an instrument for practice of non-violence. I will try to establish how musical performances and influence can be legitimately incorporated into the political sphere. As explained earlier, music has a huge influence onto people, therefore the studies around this essay will be of to how impactful can musical influence be to create action and its relevancy towards non-violent practices. In the second part of the research essay I will introduce the background of the Bed-In Movement in 1969 as an example of a popularized music-based non-violent protest. The reason behind this is to limit the perimeter of the research towards a popular movement. The essay will furthermore develop into two major subtitles to explain the power of musical influence and the extent of music as an instrument of non-violence. I will derive this study with a few more examples of music as a social mover to support my argument. The methodology used in this essay is qualitative because I will compare the influence of music of that in the Bed-in Movement and the development of music as an instrument of non-violence in modern time. This study is significant because it gives a new perception of how music as a form of art can unite people and create change through non-violent conducts.

Everyone in New York knew about John Lennon living in the Dakota with his hated wife, Yoko Ono, and his young son, Sean Ono Winston Lennon. But I never excpected to catch his eye.

We all know what happened that fateful day of December 9th, 1980, but what if history took a different turn? After a hard days night, John lennon was walking home to his New York apartment and was fatally shot in the back. Or was he? After waking up sore and alone on the streets of New York, John decides to find out what the hell happened. Long story short, he finds that he's been transported to the year 2020 and now has to find his way back. Will he every find his way back? What about Yoko? Will he find her? And what about Paul?
