He uses this knowledge to help Abby and Gianna create routines that are not only technically challenging but also designed to exploit the weaknesses of rivals like Erin Babbs' Murietta Dance Project and Jeanette Cota's JC's Broadway Dance Academy. While Spencer is tough on the moms, he's also a trusted friend to the dancers, offering them advice and a listening ear. This story is a look at the business of competitive dance through the eyes of the boy who is determined to help his mother make it better.
