Having lost his mother shortly after his birth, the teen is raised by his Grandfather Tanzan, once a powerful Harbinger in his youthful days. After sensing that his former student, a rogue Harbinger, would attempt to unseal the spirit of Yamato no Orochi, old Tanzan deliberately binds the ancient Yokai of legend to his grandson. This precedence sets off a chain reaction in the realm of Yomi where the three leaders are devising a devious plan to eradicate the last Tennin.
