Ever wondered what Carol Danvers--- I mean -- Vers' life was like on Hala? This story begins prior to the start of Marvel's 2019 Captain Marvel film and attempts to fill in the gaps of what her life might have been like through a series of vignettes. It then continues through the film and ends post-the film. Primarily told through the perspectives of Vers and Yon-Rogg. All characters belong to Stan Lee's wonderful Marvel universe.

Brinley Becker was taken by Hydra at a young age. Shield found her with no memory and decided to keep a close eye on her. Brinley moved on with her life while having nightmares of what she went through at the Hydra lab. Joining the air force with her closet friend Carol could have either been the best thing or the worst mistake of her life. Began: March 2019

"I will protect you, I promise" Vers, elite warrior hero, Kree Starforce, special agent, was sent on a mission, to kill the only person, that was standing in their way, to end the Skrull war. Only upon arriving, she discovers a shocking truth that had been hidden from her for years.

Carol decides that the best way to save the Skrull and stop the war is to work as a double agent within the Kree Empire as a member of Starforce. Yon-Rogg x Vers/Carol.

You'd be surprised how much they get up to, even when not on missions - Vers is constantly trying to celebrate holidays, Minn-Erva's always on Vers' back about being mature and professional, Att-Lass is continually abused by everyone (but don't worry, he's fine), Korath is an emotionless rock, and Bron-Char won't stop acting like an old fogey and reading ancient scrolls. (Not SKRULLS - that be can be confusing at times.) Meanwhile, Yon-Rogg is just trying to put it up with it all while adding in some wisdom and guidance...though it's not always easy getting Vers to listen. ~~~~ - Takes place approximately a year before the events of Captain Marvel - Now completed - Enjoy!
