Those teenagers who sit in their rooms, crying themselves to sleep, with anxiety and depression. Were once the current children, Who have light in their eyes, And hopes in their heart. The girl in my story is me. This is me, my life, the real me. The girl that everyone thinks she's happy. The one who's "just tired" Yes i am tired, but it's the kind of tired sleep can't fix. If you look into my eyes you will see the pain and all the tears i try to mask with a smile. Every thought is a battle Every breath is a war And i don't think i'm winning anymore.. Please don't feel bad if one day you wake to find out i didn't. It's not about staying strong anymore It's about trying to stay alive. But here i am still alive because i don't have the guts to kill myself. Don't forget everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Be kind. I'm fighting depression.

hey! i'm Ariel and i'm 16. And now you might be thinking that I would be some teen girl who likes Disney Princess and stuff and look she even has a name of a Disney Princess. Well then you should know that I'm a complete opposite from what you think. I hate Princess, barbies and all those girly stuff. you might even say that not girl can say no to shopping well i'm here to prove you wrong. I'm a girl the whole school knows, guys are scared of me, i have 2 best friends and may others. i'm friendly and automatically attract all new kids and they come to me with their problems. i'm not a smart kid just average but good at sports, and art. not the teacher's fav. everyone says hi to me and i'm like hi but i don't know your name. food lover. people say i should participate in dancing, singing and acting competitions at our school but the truth is i have stage fear. i'm shy, and act like i don't have feelings, but only my best friends know the truth. The strings feel heavy on my body making it uncomfortably visible that I'm just a puppet controlled by a puppeteer. What if I want to cut these strings to my creator, is it even possible, to be the puppeteer for a chance to deceive, or will I be led back to my strings. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I'll do what I must even if I expose the broken skeletons in my closet, to make the biggest mistake ever, mingling with the enemy.

I was fuming when I wrote this. A teacher had told me that losing a sibling was like your dog dying or you boyfriend braking up with you... She said that it hurts now but you will get over it. It's been 10 years now and I haven't forgot and it still hurts. So I wrote this to express my emotion on the subject. It's a little harsh I think but.... I think it's good. Published: July 8, 2012
