William, the most arrogant angel in all of Heaven, is sent to Earth as punishment. Stripped of his glory, he's given one tedious task: protect a mortal. That mortal is Est: quiet, nerdy and the favorite target of bullies. Est is everything William can't stand and William loathes his assignment. But as William is forced to watch over the broken but brave human-who also happens to be a skeptic who thinks angels are ridiculous-his celestial indifference starts to melt. A punishment becomes a penance, and a reluctant guardian might just be falling for the human he was sent to save.
