(Sequel to Try And Run Away) Now that Laura and Josh have established their relationship, they're ready to move on and settle their lives down together, which is difficult when Josh is the lead singer of You Me At Six and Laura is now the lead guitarist of Paramore. Their tour and recording schedules make it difficult for them to spend much time together, but finally over the summer their schedules calm down and Laura can finally spend some quality time with her boyfriend as well as their friends. But things don't go to plan what with past issues having consequences that need to be dealt with as well as Laura still having to deal with grief and her own issues. Can their love really survive?

There’s a boy who comes in to the café every Thursday after school and hides behind various sci-fi novels, occasionally taking sips of black coffee from the pale china the café supplies. Josh thinks he's kind of beautiful. (AKA -The one where not much happens but they're cute about it anyway.)

So where am I? Right, crazy-ass hippies, boarding school, friends, dumb name, The Promise. Oh God, The Promise. I don't even want to talk about The Promise right now, to be frank. I'll just say that The Promise was broken three times during our last year at Hamilton, and with each break, our group, too, became a little more fractured. We all wanted to blame someone, so we blamed each other. And Max. Mostly Max. Max and his stupid 'promise' rule.

Skylar, a senior in high school and newly signed artist, brings together her three favourite bands, All Time Low, Pierce the Veil, and You Me at Six to do a charity concert at her school. After a terrible heartbreak, and a long stretch of depression, Skylar put down the guitar, and closed the piano for years. Now, after putting on this charity concert, she must choose between going back to the one who hurt her, or leaving him behind forever.

Author's Note: My fanfiction writing style is such that I don't follow actual timelines of the artist or band. So sometimes songs are "released" in the story in a year much earlier or later than the year they were actually released, or sometimes the ages or songs of other artists or bands don't coincide with the year either. I do it like this so it's easier to come up with different concepts of stories. Remember, the point of fanfiction is that it's FICTION, so facts can be altered :)
