"Come on now your highness, don't say things you don't mean." He said, his smirk never fading.
I got goosebumps when he called me that again. I still wasn't used to it again.
"I'm not your highness anymore, why do you still call me that?" I asked in a low voice and looked over to the opposite side.
"Don't you know? Once a princess is always a princess, no matter what, even in death." He said.
I look back at him, I was touched by his answer but there was still one more thing.
"I may still be a princess to you but I'm still not your highness anymore." I said and I think he got what I really meant by that because he got quiet.
I wondered if I was going to regret what I was about to say. I think the alcohol was getting to me.
"I- I mean, only, like only if you want, you know, I can, I can, you know be again?" I said and gave an awkward laugh after; my heart was beating as if I just ran a marathon.
He was still quiet and had a straight face, so I decided to take back my words.
"Haha, I was just joking-" a hand was placed on my mouth.
"Don't you dare, I have been waiting on this moment for a long time, and if this is the best I can get it, then that's good enough." He said and took my hand and dragged me off somewhere.
