Through the soft pink pages of a cherished journal, eight-year-old Yana Petrova captures the warmth, laughter, and subtle heartaches of growing up in the heart of Russia. Following the sudden loss of her parents, Yana finds comfort in the rhythmic click of ballet slippers, the comforting smell of Auntie's home cooking, and the fierce protection of her older brother, Slawek. But as the seasons turn-from gold-dusted autumn afternoons to cozy, snow-filled winter nights-new rhythms begin to take shape in Yana's life. With her loyal best friend Katya always by her side, a quiet young dancer named Luka, a dose of childhood mischief, and big dreams on the horizon, Yana's story is an inspiring glimpse into resilience, family ties, and the magic of young friendship.

When Hope embarks on her senior class trip to Russia, she expects breathtaking sights and unforgettable experiences-but she never expects to fall in love. On her first day in Moscow, she meets Aleksandr, a young Russian prince with a gentle soul and a heart full of dreams. From the moment they lock eyes, there is an unspoken understanding, a feeling as natural as the crisp winter air surrounding them. Their time together is nothing short of magical. Aleksandr takes Hope through the hidden gems of the city-cozy cafés, dazzling ballrooms, serene gardens blanketed in snow. They wander through Red Square, hands intertwined, watching the world blur into something soft and golden. There are no obstacles, no fears, no doubts-only the thrill of discovery and the quiet certainty that they belong together. Aleksandr never questions his feelings for Hope, and she never hesitates to embrace the love that finds her so effortlessly. Their days are filled with laughter, whispered words of affection, and the kind of happiness that feels untouched by time. As the trip nears its end, Aleksandr takes Hope to his favorite spot-a quiet balcony overlooking the snowy city. The golden lights shimmer below them, the world still and perfect in the moment. With warmth in his voice and unwavering devotion in his eyes, he takes her hand and whispers the words that will change everything: *"Stay with me. Stay forever."* Hope knows she was meant to return home, but standing there, wrapped in his love, she realizes she has already found where she belongs.

I have always wanted to write and it is the artwork and the contest of Brian Kesinger that really prompted me to finally let my thoughts flow through this story. (CTO of the photo) In a different dimension far behind one's imagination, lies a majestic realm where a dark sorcerer has summoned the evil spirit to help her in subjugating the Etherial Kingdom. However, only the help of the prophesied young girl, the dragon and the paintbrush can save the kingdom under the misery of evilness. Read my story to uncover the adventure of Tamara, the foretold young lady, who is only a high school girl and unfortunately disregarded by her own family. How can she save the kingdom with the paintbrush and dragon as her allies?

Everywhere was dark, midnight black. She stood up from the ground slowly and turned around to see if she could feel or touch anything. She noticed a light that began to shine from a far. She raised her arms to block her eyes from the rays of the light. She walked slowly and forcefully towards the light, wondering why she was weak all of a sudden. She got to the light and as she touched it, she felt like she was grabbed into another dimension or maybe she was indeed somewhere else other than the ordinary. Where am i? Where is this place? These questions began to race her mind as she looked around to see herself in a place that looked like a room divided into three with clothing; Red, Black and White. Cowries, statues of scary figures, wooden objects, calabashes of red, black and white layed around in the area. A burning fire was in the centre. Chains of red, black and white hanged from the ceiling she thought, until she looked up to see the sky. The shock got a grip of her as she almost tripped into the fire but felt held by something but she couldn't see it. What was going on? She moved away from the fire and then it caught her attention. It was a gold throne, covered in pieces of red, black and white clothing. It had a black eagle statue on the top of the throne. A gold staff was next to it. She felt drawn to it and as she approached, the desire to sit on it grew. As she sat on it and held the staff, she started to hear wind blow around and suddenly birds began to appear. She was vultures, eagles and owls and then they all changed to grown women and a few young ladies and girls. She was shocked by this and then they all bowed. They were bowing to her saying some words she couldn't quite understand. But she noticed one thing, it was Yoruba they were speaking. An elderly woman rose and said " Iya wa, you are welcome. Adunni, ka bo". Why was she called iya? Who were these people and how did they know her name? Read the story Possessed and find out more.
