Overly paranoid thirteen year old Kipper Sallow had an ordinary life as the middle child in the small town of Silver Lake that he grew up in. Nothing noteworthy ever happens to him, and if it did, he was sure no one would notice; Kip feels essentially invisible to the world. That is until a peculiar girl with color-changing hair comes into his life, of all people, and knocks it entirely upside down and then some. She claims Kip is meant to be some sort of hero, which he finds hard to believe.
