Against all odds, Naruto tends to change the hearts of people. Teuchi Ichiraku is no exception. A quick one-shot about little Naruto, and a big promise. This is my first fic. Or at least the first that I have posted. I posted it last year on FF.net... got some views, but no feedback. Then posted it on AO3 this year and got some comments and kudos. This idea came after I read several sad Young Naruto fics... guess I just wanted one with a somewhat happy ending.

Slowly, your panic is affecting my mind, it's not at all pleasant!" I put myself in a sort of state that looked like hyperventilation, without breathing... Which made me panic even more. I've never been a very calm person, for as long as I can remember, I had always been a ball of emotions on my feet. The stress and anger mostly filling this ball. "If you want explanations, CALM DOWN!" I obeyed immediately, as best I could. "Finally! Do you know Paf the dog's joke?" I had this feeling "No? Well, PAF the dog!" this really bad feeling "Except this time it's not a dog the center of the joke, but a human" I fall into understanding "and that human..." the horrible and cold understanding "is you." The Fourth Hokage's body was never found, but they never suspected that was because he hadn't died. Minato Namikaze wakes up six years after the devastating Kyuubi attack, alone in an overgrown clearing with not a scratch on him. Disoriented and confused, he does exactly what any father would do in this situation. He fights through the pain, gets up, and goes to find his son. He trudges through the pounding in his head and forces himself to move-- to go and find him, because that masked man was still out there, and Minato is willing to do anything to protect his little ball of sunshine. Needless to say, the blonde kage wasn't expecting so much time to have passed. Nor is he very impressed with the way the village has been treating his son all these years.
