A collection of poems written along the way. Some are about wounds that refuse to fade. Some are about identity, memory, beauty, loss, and the strange contradictions within us. Others simply ask questions that have no easy answers. From watching the first rains through a closed window to becoming ensnared in another person's music, Journey is a collection about growing, falling, remembering, and trying to understand what it means to move forward. Perhaps a journey isn't about reaching somewhere. Perhaps it's about everything we become along the way.

2021-2024 absolution

A free verse confessional poem. Author's Note / Description for "Waiting": "Waiting" is a poem about loneliness, fear, and the hope for connection. It expresses the struggle of wanting love and friendship, but being afraid of rejection. Through the darkness of isolation, the poem ends with the quiet strength of waiting for light and hope to return.

This is poetry that I have written and let accumulate for over about six years. This poetry is based on how I felt during the time I wrote it. However, some of the poems are newer, and I wrote them a few months ago. Please be respectful in my comment sections. I went through many hardships and finally worked up enough courage to post my work so others will be able to read it and maybe even realize that if they wanted to, they could have a voice in some way too. I aspire to share my story in poetic but easily understandable words to spread awareness of what happened to me and to spread awareness of what may be happening to others in similar or worst situations.

This is a fusion poem with many poems in this poem. Author's Note / Description: "You Have a Choice" is a meta-poem that explores poetry itself, while also reflecting on life, identity, and freedom. Beginning with playful rhymes, the poem experiments with different forms-mentioning acrostics, haikus, sonnets, and limericks-before ultimately rejecting strict poetic rules. Through this journey, the poem parallels human experience, suggesting that just as poems should not be confined by structure, people should not be confined by labels, appearances, or origins. The final lines transform the piece into a manifesto for unity and self-expression: that we should all be "like a free verse poem"-unrestricted, authentic, and free.
