this isn't just an awareness poem This is a poem about surviving abuse. Not the kind that hides in the dark-but the kind that walks free in daylight, protected by silence and dressed in trust. It's about the monsters no one warns you about. The ones with names. With hands. With power. The ones who left fingerprints on my skin and guilt in my chest. It's about being a child, and not being believed. About growing up in a world that blames the victim and shelters the abuser. It's about shame, survival, silence-and finally, rage. If you've ever been told to hush when you needed to scream, this is for you. this is for us.

A Valentines Day Poem

This is a free verse poem. Author's Note / Description: "Learn how to fly" is a poem about difference, identity, and self-acceptance. Using wings as a metaphor for individuality, it explores the feelings of being left behind or broken in a world that celebrates only "normal." The narrator watches others thrive while hiding their own uniqueness, afraid of rejection. But in finding others like themselves - equally "broken" yet equally strong - they learn that flying isn't about being perfect, it's about embracing who you are. This poem is a message of hope, resilience, and the beauty of authenticity.
