He's returned to Midgar three years after his fight with Bahamut SIN. Ever since he found the cure for the spreading disease that nearly destroyed the already recovering town under Aeris' church garden, he has become known as a hero again. But suddenly he realizes it was all worth it. Starting with Avalanche, ending with Sephiroth and Meteor, jumping to Bahamut. And how he fell in love with someone. (*cough* Reno *cough*) (just kidding *cough*) Will he be accepted as part of the original Avalanche as soon as trouble arises once again for the renewed city, or will he be rejected because he can't control the break downs that only Sephiroth can cause? His worst enemy is back, stronger than ever before, and has more of a reason to eliminate Cloud. And all he has to say to his weakening friends is 'Lean on me.'

This is a fanfiction based off the ending of FFVII. In this story, the events of FFVII: Advent Children didn't happen. Also this will switch perspectives from certain characters, mainly the 8 characters from the original party, Rufus Shinra, and some others. Anyways, you'll be able to know which perspective it is. A rewrite of Final Fantasy VII: A New Beginning, which is the first fanfiction I published here on Wattpad. After almost two years, I've decided to finally rewrite this story in a way that actually makes sense, and doesn't end on some bullshit cliffhanger. Many main elements of A New Beginning (i.e, Aerith living, the JENOVA reconstruction project, etc) won't be changed, since I consider those vital to the story of A New Beginning.
