Yami stays, rather than going to the afterlife. He and Yugi part ways for college. Yugi feels as if he has lost a part of himself as Yami stops contact with Yugi. After five long years, Yami is a successful archaeologist. One of his exhibits is traveling to Japan and he's invited Grandpa and Yugi to be a part of it. How will Yugi feel seeing his friend after so many years of silence? When Yami returns, can they rebuild their friendship when Yugi wants to be more than just friends? This story is based after the last time when Atem and Yugi last saw one another. The last time was many years ago after the battle with Diva. Will things fall in place? Will Atem finally get to tell Yugi how he feels? What kind of things will Atem have to go through to get to Yugi? Also what has been going on with Yugi over the last few years?

It all happened one night when a young boy named Yugi was walking home from a party and found a man who he fell in love with, just didn't know it yet. Then the next day, Yugi meet the same shy guy at school and meets another man who doesnt hide his feelings for Yugi. Who will win Yugis heart? And who are these mysterious men? Pharaoh Atem, the Pumpkinking, is tired of Halloween. He is tired of the same thing every year with no end. He also wants to impress his crush, Yugi Muto, this beautiful girl who was created Dr. Seto. He decides to take his dog, Joey, for a walk. Once the two reach the woods, Atem sees the trees. Once Atem falls in, he's captivated by the world around him. What will he do then? I got this idea from the Nightmare Before Christmas. The characters aren't mine but the plot is (to some extent) mine.

Atemu Sennen is an exchange student who just moved from Millennium Academy to Domino High. He quickly becomes popular with the ladies for his looks, meanwhile, Yugi Muto, who sits at the back of class who rarely talks since he's born with a stuttering issue that he's a bit insecure about. Atemu seems to be the only one who notices Yugi and tries to befriend him. But Yugi is hesitant to new people and can't trust a lot of people. How will Atem gain Yugi's trust? I do not claim to own Yu-Gi-Oh or any art shown here.

It had felt like an eternity since the final duel between Atem and Yugi, where Atem had regained his memories and finally returned to the afterlife, leaving Yugi alone without the presence of the person he holds so dear. His other half. Both of them had been left with such an emptiness in their hearts, a bittersweet feeling for both with Atem finally able to rest and Yugi being able to finally be relieved from the duels and the assurance they had helped each other. But, light cannot exist without darkness, and darkness without light.
