Shane has always been different whether it was the fact he is half Japanese or liked things a particular way or preferred to be at home away from crowds and attention or the biggest reason of all his disability, being in a wheelchair is treated like a tragedy something to be pitied. Shane hated the pity he hated the invasive curiosity he hated the expectations of being a inspiration for playing para hockey when he met MLH superstar Ilya Rozanov he expected the usual, pity or even cruelty but Ilya was nothing shane expected.

Both boys have been in love with each other for years, they were open about it but never really explained what they were.

90s pop band AU - touted to be the "Next Big Thing" - new pop band "Rivalry" have been manufactured to be the public's perfect boyband - Ilya (the bad boy) and Shane (much to his annoyance, typecast as the sweet one) meet at the first casting call. Through photoshoots, choreography camp and then a cross world tour, they fall in love but have to hide it from their bandmates, over-invested management and legions of screaming fans.

After going through hell together, the Hollander-Rozanov household is back to being peaceful. Join them in enjoying each other's company. Follow Ilya and Shane in their complex task of raising their little Sunshine, Matteo.
