She was there when her parents died. She witnessed it all. Two consecutive gunshots fired at the sack-covered heads of the people she used to call Mom and Dad. They dropped down on their knees before continuing to the floor, their heads bouncing once due to the impact. Bloods pooling from their lifeless bodies. She was made to watch as she was tied to a chair, mouth gagged with a dirty rag. Unable to cry. She was scared to death, shocked at the sound, and was horrified how the ones who used to give her hugs and kisses were now as motionless as a rock. If someone kicked their bodies, would they be able to move like when you kicked a rock and it rolls on its own? Now she knows it's not possible. Fast forward to the present, she was out there, beating people older and younger than her, sometimes even bigger. And then killing them. But not because she wanted to, but because she was ordered to do so. By the same people who killed her parents-the people who took her out from the streets after she was left with no one. When given an assignment, she'd make up excuses to her professors, her friends, her classmates just so she could sneak out and follow-through the order. And by the next day, she'd laugh along with them like she didn't just commit murder the night before. That's how her life has been ever since she turned 18.

In 1899 ad, a virus was spread throughout the land of Qixingyu. It makes a tiny crush develop into a huge affection or if too much, obsession. A carrier can transmit the disease by showing affection towards his or her target (e.g, hugging, kissing, love-making). The people named it Cœur de Maladie, meaning, The Love Virus. Kawaguchi Yurina, a daughter of the most noble family in Kawaguchi Prefecture, Japan came to visit the country of Qixingyu before the virus had broken out. She finds the crown-princess very attractive. Yurina tried her best to hide her feelings, and succeeded as no one had ever found out about her secret fantasy, except for the Enchanted Lady in the lake near the Palace. And then we have Shen Xiaoting, a stoic woman, crown-princess of the Qixingyu Dynasty. She had never loved anyone, nor felt love herself. Her mother, the Queen Consort had passed long before she could remember, and her father, the King had payed her no attention. The virus wouldn't work for her, as she hasn't found anyone attractive other than herself. The spreading of Cœur de Maladie had badly affected the royal family, and the walls they had built to keep the rampaging people out of the castle are on the verge of crashing down. What's worse is that the King seemed to be infected and is hitting on almost all of the consort inside the palace. Xiaoting, being the only sane royal, decided to look for the solution herself. With the help of her newly found assistant, Kawaguchi Yurina.

Yurina is a student , she was bullied until she moved to a new university. She is quite famous in the new university because her personality and sweetness, Yurina accidentally fall in love with xiaoting....
