In this Modern/Human! Mikayuu/Yuumika story, two gay but oblivious childhood friends, Mikaela Shindo and Yuichirou Amane, decide to run away from their abusive homes together; even finding love along the way. But running away was never going to be as easy as they thought with Mika's father hot on their trail in the hopes to find them and bring them back into the reality they're running from. And with Mika injured, getting far was never in the question. They really only had each other in such a cruel world, but they find their supporters along the way to finally let them live a peaceful life; where Yuu can teach Mika what it meant to be truly happy and live life to its fullest while Mika could teach Yuu what it meant to be safe and how love can destroy a person. After running into the crossfires of death and battling the scars left from their homes and the secrets they hold, they begin to learn that love means sharing the pain instead of burdening it. And after all the hope, despair, lust, love, tension, arguing, and sacrifices, they still wondered if they'd ever get their dreams to become a reality...

(This is the sequel of Why. If you haven't read it, I suggest you read it before you read this, or else you will be confused.) ~Summary~ A couple months after the events of the last book, the group was now in their 11th year of high school. Their junior year. Mikaela was now way happier than he was in the first book. He was dating Yuichiro and had a group of friends. There were still moments were he became sad, but it wasn't so bad anymore. Yuichiro had really helped him, and he was grateful. Everything was perfect. Was. But someone had fallen in love with Mikaela, and no matter how much he tried to ignore it and fight it, he couldn't erase his feelings for the blonde. If the mysterious person were to act on his urges, would it split up Yuichiro and Mikaela, or was their love for each other so strong that they can overcome any obstacle. Only time will tell. ~ (Also, just noticed something. If Shinya is Shinoa's older brother, then it wouldn't make no sense if she dated Yuu. Even tho Mika and Yuu are dating but whatever. So in this story, Shinya is not related to Shinoa)

(Rewrittened version) Yuuichiro and Mikaela were orphans at Hyakuya Orphanage for four years until they were both adopted by different people. Luckily, they lived nearby and were able to be near one another as much as they wanted. They both still visited the orphans almost every day, but after three years, Yuuichiro stopped. He even stopped talking to his best friend, Mikaela, all because he started dating and had his own friend group. Mikaela, however, didn't stop, he kept visiting his family. Even though he was mad at Yuuichiro, Mikaela didn't confront him. He was always a self-sacrificing person and seeing his friend happy with other people stopped any idea of talking to him. So therefore, he went about his life, trying to act happy but no matter how many friends he made, the promise that Yuuichiro broke still circled his mind. After a year of being ignored by the one person he loved, Mikaela finally snapped. ~ So instead of continuing to rewrite the original story, I decided to just make another one. This one is going to be better and hopefully longer. I made Mika get over his depression way too fast in the last story and as someone who suffered from depression, I know that it's not that easy, so in this story, MIKA IS GOING TO GET THERAPY! Also, the whole Mika getting bullied was too cliche and I didnt like that so he's not going to get bullied. Yay. The only one bullying him is himself. And he will have friends.

Mika and Yuu only have a relationship of master and maid. Yuu is Mika's maid. The share a really close relationship and they are way more than just "master" and "maid". I made this story with the help of: @PalkuSaini

Yuichiro always have a recurring dream about a red string leading him to several doors but each doors is part of his memories or series of surprising rememberable event that he experienced, but however there is one door he couldn't open. Ogres are feared by the world, and it never seemed to bother Yuichiro. He liked scaring humans, it gave him a purpose in life. Though he may not look like one in day, at night his skin turns green. It freaks everyone out, but he doesn't really know why...not that he cares...or so he thought. He went to go visit the village next to Lord Gurenquaad's (they just call him Guren for short) castle, and bumped into a boy named Mikaela. He stole his heart, a feeling he has never felt before... Mikaela doesn't know Yuichiro is an ogre...he just thinks he's a regular human like him. The ogre fears that Mikaela won't like him anymore if he finds out he's not human..what will he do? What's even worse is that Mikaela has to marry a princess from the other kingdom..but Yuichiro wants to be the princess who has to marry Mikaela...What's EVEN more worse is that the next day after Mikaela and Yuichiro met, Mikaela was kidnapped by a dragon! For for the first time, Yuichiro wishes that he was just like everyone else...that he wasn't a scary ogre at night. What will Mikaea do and think when he finds out who Yuichiro really is? Will Mikaela ever be saved from the evil dragon? Inspired by: My lord and savior, Shrek. ---- A common question asked (jk no one actually asked this): should I take this story seriously? My response: Yes. Shrek may be a meme, but the plot is pretty good.

The first time Yuuichirou ever set eyes on Mikaela, it was on his third day of entering college. He was eating lunch, mouth stuffed with the sandwich he had convinced Kimizuki to make for him. Eyes wide open as he gaped at the blond who walked hand in hand with a petite, pink haired girl.

Yuuichiro and his family along with a few friends are on a summer road trip. Unfortunately, car troubles prevent them from going any further and they are forced to take shelter at the mansion owned by businessman Mikaela Shindo. A storm comes and it seems things only go downhill from there. People are disappearing left and right, secrets are slowly being revealed, and it appears there is no way out... aside from death.
