Reena has been stumbling in the fog of her own life, in a silent, disconcerting confusion, one in which she cannot even remember her own name, much less who she really is or where she fits in. She was lost and drifting, and she settled down in the small barrio of Mabuhay, taken in by an old woman, she doesn't know as well. Time seemed to slack there; the air was less dense, the streets less dangerous, and more than at any rate in so long as she could recall, Reena was tasting serene life. The town welcomed her, enveloping her in a warmth of which she had no idea she was in need, and made her temporary residence seem like home.
It became more beautiful when she met Primo Skyler (Ulap) Zapanta- a skilled, sharp-witted mechanic whose rough hands and unwavering eyes concealed a mind as sharp as it was gentle. Pulled by her silent desire, Ulap gave her not just a smiling countenance; he was her support and her compass. They started to unravel the threads of her forgotten past, put together fragments of her memories, and follow up on faint clues that would guide Reena back to herself. Each truth came as a revelation to her, and she felt herself becoming stronger, more real, more complete.
However, the closer the image of her identity is revealed, the more traumatizing truth becomes clear: the responses she is in search of have a great cost. It is these very memories and secrets that make her who she is, yet the same secrets that are the foundations of her life that can be used to tear her calm existence apart. So what will she decide when the time comes at last- will she take the woman that she was always meant to be, even though it will cost her the happiness and peace she struggled so much to achieve? And can Ulap stand by her side when the past they unearthed ruin the haven they both love?
