This was a school project I had to do where I wrote in the style of the story "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty." Rayne hates her school. She's too smart for everyone. She gets bored by the easy lessons in class, so she daydreams about dating a handsome man. What happens when her daydream guy takes her to a giant building with no windows? I will be posting each part of the story separately. When a new chapter starts, it switches between Rayne's two lives. The chapters will be short but this is a SHORT story, after all. I'll make sure to tell you whether it's daydream or reality.

Zachary Woods isn't the smartest, cutest, nicest guy out there, but he sure is the most troublesomee. When his best friend sees him in peril, he knows just what to do to cheer him up. A little backstory: Zachary Woods is a 26 year old man who never really matured past the age of 12. He had a younger sister who passed away at the age of 10, and shortly after, he experienced a very traumatic event that hindered his maturity. He also was already mentally slow. His mother loved his sister more because she was smart and showed promise of being a good student, so when she died, she became neglectful and abusive. His father tried to protect him from his mother, but was arrested after she manipulated the cops. At the age of 16, he met his best friend, Louie. Zachary now lives with Louie, and Louie helps Zachary be an adult. Well, when he needs to be.
