This is the story of how Zach Kornfeld became Number Eight of The Umbrella Academy.

She's the clueless, awkward Gen-Z girlie. Or is Rainie only that way because she's trying to keep her cool when working around Zach-the only man she's ever loved? For his part, Zach sees Rainie's affections for him. It's unlike any attention he's ever gotten from a woman: suddenly, he's the unavailable one, the subject of someone's fantasies. Can he resist the pull of illicit desire?

When Zach keeps falling asleep at work, Eugene is determined to figure out the reason why.

Usually I panic and delete these stories, but here we go. Let's pretend that all the guys are the same age here. And let's hope I can actually write this because I'm excited about it. This is also my first fanfiction. I do not expect it to be great. However, I tried to give a scientific explanation which is not at all accurate.
