After he rescue Rachel from a drunker, she pass out and woke up in an almost run down apartment that welcomes her to stay there and becomes Zack's "partner" This is about Rachel's new daily lives with the 5 residents of the apartment, as both Zack and Rachel develops a feeling they have never felt before.

But my theory is: Zack, after badly hurt from his execution, found Rachel and they ran away together, leaving his old knife behind to signify them leaving their pasts behind.
