Dib, growing stronger feelings towards the alien he hates the most. His enemy. What's wrong with him? He's always hated Zim, right? Why are these feelings only starting to show now...? (No smut lol) This story is also partly a joke, so don't take it so seriously. (My first few chapters are pretty bad with the writing and all that so, don't expect some perfect and wonderful story line in the beginning.)

Originally from the Invader Zim Amino Summary: Dib and Zim are in their senior year of hi skool, and Dib notices increasingly odd behavior coming from the alien. While trying to solve this mystery, he slowly learns that there's more to Zim than he could've ever imagined. AKA a ZADF fic where stuff just kind of happens! I will admit, the premise is pretty typical for this fandom, but I'm trying to put some interesting and creative spins on it!

Zim can't move on. Even ten years after he was first assigned planet Earth, he still has yet to claim it for the Empire. He knows he can be a great Invader, if it weren't for all these distractions. It doesn't help that the Tallest have been ignoring his transmissions ever since the Florpus hole, and Zim is this close to turning mopey again. But a transmission from the Massive, a surprise exile, a civil war, and Zim's own pak may just change this unending loop of failure forever. And, oh, is Zim ready for change. Cover is temporary until I can create one. Updates will be very very slow until I can finish another book, I apologize for any wait. Invader Zim and all its characters belong to Nickelodeon. Possible ZaDr, violence, and gore warning.

** YALL, THIS WAS MY FIRST FANFIC, WRITTEN WHEN I WAS TWELVE. PROCEED WITH THAT IN MIND, BECAUSE ITS PROBABLY HOT GARBAGE THROWN INTO THE BURNING PITS OF HELL AND THEN TAKEN BACK OUT ONLY TO BE DRENCHED IN LAVA. ** After unexpectedly finding the irken crying in the corner of the men's bathroom, Dib tries his best comfort him despite not knowing what was wrong, and despite what they still continued to believe was mutual hatred towards each other. The two suddenly became closer, however, and after a while the human became sick of the people he shared a planet with. He and Zim were both equally as tired of their societies, and one day the two decided to team up and take over worlds, and eventually even the galaxy, together. *･゜ﾟ･*:.｡..｡.:*･･*:.｡. .｡.:*･゜ﾟ･* Alternative title: Two gay dumbasses go on a space adventure, get in trouble, and fall in love while denying it constantly. Probably would've been better than "Salt and Sugar" but TOO LATE The first three parts are absolute sh!t but it gets better ig so don't worry. We get into actual plot around chapter 12 so if you're sick of fillers GUESS WHAT IT'LL BE OVER SOON This fic is a rewrite because the old version had no plot or anything interesting whatsoever. TW) Cursing, mentions self-harm (specifically the scars) Characters are aged up to be in the range of years 16 and 18, Zim's a bit less... Weird. Nothing 18+ because they're canonically children and I am not into reading OR writing that kind of stuff All characters belong to Jhonen Vasquez and are from the show Invader Zim (except for the occasional made-up space aliens that say random lines for some reason, those are just random dudes I make up. Also some characters that might exist for uhhh maybe epilogue haha-)

Zim leaves Earth overnight, without a word or a warning, and Dib is left behind to deal with the consequences and the loose ends. [ZaDf, sort of!]

Zim and Dib head to planet irk to attend a celebration for Invader Skoodge but find it was a set up. I ran out of invader Zim content to consume so I've resorted to creating my own. Zim and Dib are highschool freshmen in this, they've become friends. this might be angsty. this was supposed to be a comic but I can't draw very well ekdskkswks. Zim also has an updated/improved disguise.

Fully self-indulgent story TW for references/implications to past abuse and perhaps light mental/emotional abuse I require Dib acknowledging he is abused and being integrated into a better home Also, Zim and Dib being friends and maybe boyfs, as a treat :) Out of character moments? Hell yeah! Do I care? Hell no. Chalk it up to Headcanon and characters growing up. EDIT: I am sorry if the Title & Desc get removed! This has happened once and hopefully won't again but just incase have a warning.

But one day there appears to be a virus in technology in Dib's neighborhood. Dib being Dib, he suspects that Zim is up to something. So, Dib rushes over to Zim's house. Zim was actually surprised to see Dib, but he explains the cause of the virus, and that it is indeed his next evil plan. But by accident, GIR gets the virus too! Zim can't fix this problem alone. So as much as Zim hates to admit it, he needs Dib's help. Can a malfunction in GIR's system, cause a malfunction in their's? ------------------------------ If you couldn't tell already, this will be Zadr (Zim and Dib romance) so just a heads up. I have a problem, and it's called "By The Time I Finish An Idea I've Somehow Already Gotten 5000 More Syndrome". This the best solution I can think of for now.
